So Admins get to make up new rules of their own volition?

All admins were given rough guidelines of how to deal with certain situations. They don't "make up" their own rules. They simply decide when it's time to "step in" and deal with the situation when it gets out of hand. We're not trying to run some kind of police state/highly censored server where no one can express themselves. In fact, we generally don't mind as long as it isn't getting out of hand and causing problems.

There is no rule against offensive names or even offensive text for that matter. As such I saw no reason that I should obey an admin who is clearly abusing his power when he is trying to enforce a non existent rule.

Are you sure you read the rules? Anyway, be more cautious of our policies or you'll find yourself banned.
