*Inappropriate language or names (General cussing in moderation is allowed).*

Alright so I was Banned for cussing out in game. I was wondering when on earth it's appropriate to cuss and when the heck it's inappropriate because honestly, it seems like every single admin has their own preferences on this issue and there are no clear guidelines. It's also hard for someone to realize they are doing something wrong when NO warning are/were given out at beforehand.

Oh and look..as I was typing this out, I got banned AGAIN after my 10 minutes expired for typing !motd in the game to view the rules. Please explain to me what on earth is going on.

Second, I am the admin that banned you. Yes we do allow moderate cussing in the servers. However, we do not allow the players to direct it at others in the manner that you have been. Take a look at your chat logs and honestly tell me if you think that this is the way you should act.

It doesn't really look like you learned your lesson after the ban. I will keep my eye on you and the ban time will increase.

Does that mean you cannot direct it at a person at all? Is there a specific way in which a person can curse at another??? I understand the Concepts of keeping away from threatening others and I've made sure to keep clear off of that territory.  I'm pretty sure "FUCK YOU IN THE ASS" isn't a threat...then again I could be wrong, people have different perspectives about these things.

Another thing that has been bothering me is the fact that I was given no warning before hand (at least a clear one...since again I did not see a thing indicating my behavior was bad). Sure it's the players responsibility to get accustomed to the rules of each server but the limitations of the rules have to also become a tad more clear to those playing. I've been on this server for a couple of days now and my attitude hasn't really changed much. This being said, I've seen how some admins have accepted my rash vocabulary while others like you JayCat, have been more strict on this enforcement. This again is going back to the limits of the rights each player has and I would greatly like it if I could be more informed as to what can and can not be said.

and....I guess...if any other troubles come about, I was also wondering what would be the best place to contact an admin in.

The 10 minute ban was your warning. A good rule of thumb to keep from being banned is not to be an asshat.

That was a pretty good warning then; really stood out.

Now would you so kindly please explain the rest of my conundrums?

Or perhaps explain what an Asshat is by definition?

Hey well...when you gotta play it safe sometimes you have to improvise.

I gotta hand it to you, Haxii. Those insults actually made me laugh.

Anyways, we allow the occasional cussing since ridiculous things do happen and it does make people mad. So it's okay to vent from time to time, however, excessive use of profanity or directing it at specific people isn't okay. People play to have fun and generally don't like seeing angry kids raging at them everyday with exception to trolls. If you're constantly raging then it'll negatively affect the server and present you as being an angry kid. If trolls see an angry kid, then they'll try to intentionally provoke them for pleasure. This generally has the negative affects of dragging everyone into it. Don't set yourself or our servers up for that. :o

I myself wouldn't want the server to be inflicted in any bad sort of way.
