i'm really into football (the one where you actually use your feet to hit the ball), rugby and ultimate frisbee. Volleyball and badminton are very fun as well. Ping pong too.

1. Requires physical skill
2. Is physically taxing
3. Involves direct competition between the participants.
If you need to rely on a dictionary to tell you what things are, you're not as smart as you think you are.

Also you've been missing a large part of my point in my opinion. Calling everything a sport (or calling bowlers athletes) devalues the word. It's like how idiots overuse 'epic' so that when something truly epic occurs and is called such, it's described the same way as some idiot's sandwich or some other non-epic thing that has been dubbed as such.
